1. Brand charge and merchant of record
Creating and publishing a campaign does not require payment. A brand pays only after selecting a creator. Collab Current is the business and merchant of record for the platform charge. The Checkout total is calculated on the server and includes the agreed creator compensation plus the platform fee displayed before payment.
2. What Funds Secured means
Funds Secured means Stripe has confirmed the brand's payment and Collab Current has recorded the assignment as funded. It is a workflow status, not legal escrow, a trust account, or a guarantee against a later chargeback, refund, dispute, or payment-provider reversal. Creators must not begin work before this status appears.
3. Submission, approval, and creator transfer
The creator submits the agreed deliverables through the assignment. The brand may approve them or request a revision within the agreed allowance and with a reason. Final approval queues the agreed creator compensation. An authorized administrator reviews the queue and initiates a separate Stripe Connect transfer to the creator's payout-ready connected account.
4. Platform fees and Growth Partner commission
The campaign records the actual platform-fee rate and amounts used when the brand pays. Growth Partner commission is calculated from eligible platform fees actually collected, using the stored rate for that transaction. It is not calculated from campaign gross value unless an explicit program rule says otherwise. Referral commission never reduces creator compensation.
5. Refunds and cancellations
Refunds are reviewed using the assignment agreement, work status, submission history, and payment record. A refund may be appropriate for duplicate charges, mutual cancellation before work begins, inability to perform, or verified failure to provide agreed deliverables. Approved or used work is generally not refundable, subject to mandatory legal rights. Stripe or other processing costs already incurred may be non-refundable where permitted.
6. Chargebacks, disputes, and reversals
A payment failure, chargeback, suspected fraud, refund, or dispute may pause campaign work and any creator or commission transfer. Because Collab Current uses separate charges and transfers, refunding a brand charge does not automatically recover a transfer already sent. Collab Current may reverse, offset, hold, or recover related creator or Growth Partner amounts where the law, Stripe rules, and the transaction record permit.
7. Payout timing and failures
Transfer and bank-payout timing depends on Stripe, the connected account, currency, country, banking network, verification status, and risk review. A queued or processing status is not a promise of a specific arrival date. Failed or reversed transfers remain visible for administrative follow-up.
8. Currency, taxes, and test transactions
Amounts are recorded in the stated currency using integer minor units. Users are responsible for taxes applicable to their business income or purchases. Transactions clearly labelled test or sandbox are simulations and do not move real money; live transactions do.
